Summer turns FIVE!

This year was quite the year to celebrate our big 5 year old, as she ended up having FIVE celebrations!  Yes, we do love birthdays around here :).

1) The Sister Party she shared with Larkyn ~ July 12th
(Attended by all her aunts, uncles and grandparents)

2) Her Date with Grandma and Grandpa Kirkwood ~ July 29th
(A new tradition G&G are starting for when our kids turn five)

3) Her Beauty and the Beast/Princess Friends Party ~ July 30th

4) Her Actual Birthday ~ August 3rd

5) Her Birthday Date with Mommy  ~ August 5th
(Each year I take the kids on a one-on-one date for their birthday)

In addition,

*Summer loved posing for her 5-year pictures (click here to see them) ~ July 30th
*Summer had her 5-year well-check and 2 shots ~ August 5th

Yes, all these things, along with being out of town the past two extended weekends, attending two friends birthday parties, keeping up with laundry, and Colton's soccer, these last two weeks have been VERY busy!  I will soon attempt to catch up on each of the things I mentioned above, including more pictures, however, in the meantime, before time gets TOO far away from August 3rd, I want to wish my baby girl a happy, happy 5th birthday!

Summer, you are one of the most amazing people I know!  You love all things pink, princess, and sparkles, but you aren't afraid to touch the worms and the fish when you go fishing with Daddy and Grandpa!  You are an avid reader, and will finish many chapter books I start with you within the day, because you are so curious to see what happens!  You especially love American Girl books, but also love Amelia Bedelia and Alex books.  You love to learn.  You are extremely observant.  You have such a kind heart and great manners and truly turn heads with your exuberant and conversational personality.  You are kind and considerate, both to your friends, your siblings, and me.  You have amazing empathy for your age and an amazing memory!  While your excitement for life is one of my favorite things about you, it is topped by your love for the Lord and desire to please him above all else.  I could not be any prouder of the person you are, and I pray he continues to use you to bring glory to his name and others into His kingdom.  I see Him working in you, Summer!  I couldn't be any prouder of you and I love you SO much!  Happy birthday, sweet girl!!!
