Halloween

On a day off school, the kids requested to go thrift shopping for Halloween costumes.  Because they each had a costume that fit, I told them that if they wanted a different one, they needed to use their own money.  Not only did they find amazing deals, but they coordinated their outfits in such a cute way to be Dorothy, the Lion, and a Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz.  It's fun having big kids!

Their costumes turned out so cute and they really had fun with them!  The older two enjoyed their Halloween parties and parade at school.   I was so grateful that Grandma and Grandpa K could step in and be party helpers as I had to be home with Larkyn who was still running a fever.

Sweet Moments

I'll include a few random pictures I found on my camera roll before my Halloween post closes out October and we move on to November!

Loons Game date with Daddy!

Sister piano lesson

My favorite spot in the whole house....reading books with these cuddle bugs.  I'm thankful they love it as much as me!

Sick

Well, we had our first flu of the season...and it wasn't a fun one!  The kids all three had it at the same time....high fevers, vomiting, and coughs...so fun.  We were (and still are!) out for a week+ with Summer getting it last Tuesday and Larkyn still hanging on to her fever currently.  This flu was memorable as it was Larkyn's first time in the ER.  She struggled to keep anything down for two days (meds or food/drink) and with her fever hovering around 104 for so long we decided to bring her in to get fluids.  I'm so grateful for the medical care we received and for the family and friends that prayed each step of the way!

Kirkwood Family Pictures

Each fall, my mom does an amazing job coordinating family pictures.  She is really good at (and works really hard at!) getting everyone's clothing to match perfectly!  Angela Ross Photography is such a talented photographer.  Here are some from this year's photo shoot.  I think they turned out great!

Daddy Daughter Dance 2018

Larkyn looked forward to her Daddy Daughter Dance with Daddy for MONTHS!  She was so excited!  She spent the afternoon deciding which dress to wear (it helps having a big sister with lots of hand-me-downs to try on!), painting her nails, curling her hair, and choosing her jewelry and shoes.  When Daddy got home from work to pick her up, she got to pick where they went out to eat!  She picked Chik-Fil-A:).  She had the most perfect evening and was so excited to share pictures and stories with us when she got home!
