Sesame Street Live

Each year, the Apple Valley Mom's Club gets special group rate tickets to see Sesame Street Live at the Target Center.  I have brought each kid on a date to see Sesame Street Live when they were 2.5 years old (click here to see pictures of Summer's date in 2013 and click here and scroll down to see pictures of Colton's date last year in 2015).  Larkyn is only 1.5 years old, however she absolutely LOVES the Sesame Street characters and has them all memorized!  She got quite a bit of Sesame Street themed things for Christmas, and I just knew she would love the show!  Furthermore, Summer's kindergarten class was taking a field trip to see the show this year, so when the opportunity came up to take the two littles this year, I grabbed it!  I cannot express HOW FUN this morning was.  There is something SO ABSOLUTELY incredibly amazing about taking your kids to do or see something they love and get SO excited about!  It reminded me of when I took Colton to see Thomas the Train or Summer's face when she got to take dance and gymnastics lessons.  It is seriously one of my top favorite things about being a mom!  Anyway, here are a few pictures and videos of our morning...

Ready to Go!

Before we left, we played with her sesame street characters from Grandma K and her sesame street beanies from Grandma T :)

Colton quizzed Larkyn on the names of the characters and I just love how she says each one!  I love this little video showing her personality, voice, and love for Sesame Street!

When we found our seats with Mom's Club, we happened to be only 5-10 rows ahead of Summer's kindergarten class!  See her in the middle of this picture in her orange Southview wolves kindergarten field trip shirt.
Summer with some of her classmates at intermission

Larkyn LOVED the show!  She sat the entire first 40 minutes on my lap completely mesmerized by the lights, music, and characters, announcing each one as they entered stage and pointing!  So adorable.  After intermission she danced along with the characters from her seat, clapped along, cheered, and played with her super cool seat (because she wasn't heavy enough to keep the theater type seat down by herself it folded up on her and she thought it was absolutely hilarious and bounced her legs to open-close-open-close her seat, giggling hysterically!)
I SO wished my video would take during the show, as she was so cute to watch!  I tried, so here are a few dark clips of her clapping/etc if you can see her :)

Taking Larkyn to see Sesame Street Live was everything I hoped it would be and more, and will definitely go down as one of my favorite Larkyn memories to date!
