September and October

We have had a GREAT start to our school year!  Here are a few pictures to describe our fall.

First Days

Summer

Summer's junior year has been busy!  Between cross country, tough classes, work, friends, and church, she has filled every minute of her day!  We have all been enjoying the fact that she can drive now!

"6-7"

Summer and Allegra (best friend from UCA) got to run in a XC race together!

Colton

Colton joined his sister at Apple Valley High School this year and has loved being on the soccer team.  He has met a lot of nice guys and is adjusting really well to a heavier class load.

Muddy team!

Alex and Colton hit it off, both loving soccer, Jesus, and having the first 3 classes of the day together.

Larkyn

Larkyn is holding her own, being the only Tommerdahl at UCA this year.  She continues to love life, singing, friends, school, and volleyball!  As a first-time volleyball player, she has grown her skills so much this year, and it is always the highlight of her day.

Homecoming

Summer got ready for Homecoming with several sweet girlfriends, and then went with her friend Max who shares many of the same interests as her - they have enjoyed being in XC, track, speech, jazz band, and more together over the past few years.  Colton braved his first Homecoming with several other freshman friends.  Larkyn was a super-sister, helping Summer with her nails and helping Colton figure out what to wear :).

(Larkyn enjoyed dressing up in her choir dress to take a pic with Summer ;))

Fall Retreat

The kids have all been enjoying friendships made at church.  Over fall break, the youth group went on a fall retreat, and I went as a 9th grade girls leader.  The competitions between classes (each class being assigned a color) is anticipated all year long (7th grade always wears orange, 9th grade wears yellow, and 11th grade wears red)!  Our speaker was really great this year and the camp was beautiful in the fall.

(The Apple Valley High School students on the retreat came together for a picture!)

Summer's Spiritual Birthday Meal

13 years ago she trusted Christ as her Savior!

Summer received a Bible Commentary for her Spiritual Birthday this year.

On Halloween, Summer had to work, Colton went to a party with friends, and Larkyn invited a friend over to make cookies, paint pumpkins, and trick or treat.  They dressed up as Agnes and Margo from Despicable Me, and made "heads" for Paul and me to be Gru and Lucy :).
