Each year on October 19th, we celebrate the day that Summer chose to follow Jesus Christ with her life. Her story begins very young (see this link), but it is amazing to see how God has and continues to work in her life (see this link). Each year we celebrate by Summer getting to pick and cook the family dinner (being a servant), and then she receives one present to help her grow in her faith. This year we chose to give her an Archaeology Study Bible, because she wants to be an archeologist, LOVES history, is totally ready for a study Bible, and it is a REALLY cool Bible! The study Bible shows pictures of current day places mentioned in the Bible, archeological ruins and digs, discusses historical sources that were found that shows that the Biblical accounts were accurate, includes discussions of ancient cities and maps, and more. She absolutely loves it and spends about a half hour in it each day when she wakes up as she uses it to complete her BSF Bible study in Genesis and learn so much! I love how she makes her relationship with Christ first priority each morning, setting her alarm early so she has time to read before she does her morning chores. I love how her heart for the Lord and for others is so evident in conversations with her. And I love how I can see the Holy Spirit working in her life! Summer, we are beyond proud of you and your love for the Lord. You have made the most important choice you could ever make, and are daily living out that choice in your faith. I pray you continue to seek Him with your whole heart. You are such a blessing to so many! We love you!
