House Remodel

Our kitchen remodel is finally complete!  Demo Day was May 21st and the project was completed the first week of September (even though they predicted 6-8 weeks!).  The project scope included redoing the kitchen and making it slightly larger, knocking down a wall to make the downstairs one open space, moving the door to the garage down to make the kitchen area larger, and putting a consistent floor across the main level (as it was one room now).  Replacing the floor also meant replacing the subfloor as it was different heights in different rooms.  In order to complete this list, we needed to move EVERYTHING off of the main level of our house including our kitchen, eating area, living room, coat closet, and bathroom.  Our kitchen was in our garage (as well as storage and project supplies) and we stored everything else in the basement.  We were grateful for all the time we could spend traveling and staying with family, and we got really good at grilling and doing dishes camping style while we were at home.  It probably goes without saying that we were REALLY excited to be done - and we love it!  Now for some pics....
