Christmas Part 1 - Kirkwood Celebration

We had several celebrations this Christmas!  Our kickoff celebration was the weekend before Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa K's house.  After picking up the kids from school, we headed to Woodbury.  As a bonus, my Grandma (GiGi) was visiting from Michigan, so we got to spend some time with her!

On Saturday we had fun playing lots of games, baking cookies, and going sledding.

That evening we had "designated" Christmas Eve where the kids opened matching cousin jammies from Grandma and Grandpa.

Unfortunately, not long after this picture was taken, Colton proved to have the stomach flu and proceeded to throw up 9x that night :(.   Despite a rough night, we did have fun the next morning on "designated" Christmas morning!  Colton laid down for some of it, and Paul made two runs to the store for Gatorade and tylenol...but otherwise it was a fun family morning :)

When we arrived home Sunday afternoon, we got unpacked and the kids had a blast playing with their toys from Grandma and Grandpa K.  Colton got a Cars 3 racetrack that propels the cars around the track and the girls got American girl doll things - Summer got a motorcycle and Larkyn got a bunk bed!  Auntie Kristin gave the girls her childhood American girl doll desk so they can play school!  And Colton is excited to go to a hockey game in January with Uncle Eric and Daddy for his gift from Auntie Kristin and Uncle Eric.

We also received a family gift from Grandma and Grandpa K for a one night stay at Great Wolf Lodge waterpark near Mall of America.  We are so excited to use it in January!  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for a fantastic weekend and delicious food!  Though it was different than usual due to sickness, thanks so much for your flexibility and hospitality!  We love you so much!
