Halloween

On Halloween morning, my friend Jessi invited us to go trick-or-treating at a local nursing home with her church's Mom's group.  I loved seeing both the older people and the kids mixing and bringing smiles to each other!

The people in the nursing home passed out candy to the kids

I loved watching our kids interact with the ladies in the nursing home

All smiles!

After trick-or-treating Jessi and I took the kids to "the Blast" at the Eagan Community Center, an indoor play area similar to a McDonald's play land (but bigger!).  The kids all played so nicely together and got a lot of energy out in a really fun way!

After heading home for lunch and naps, we got ready for our evening trick-or-treating.  Because it was in the 30's outside (brrrrr!) we decided to go to Mall of America for trick-or-treating this year instead of going outside.  150+ stores have people handing out candy and the kids can trick-or-treat without coats on ~ such a great set up!

Before we left, we set out a candy bowl on the porch for trick or treaters that would come while we were gone.

Larkyn's first Halloween!

Ready to head to MOA

I LOVE Colton's adorable profile with the arm muscles built into his costume, his little waist, and his big Lightning McQueen boots!
Trick or Treat
We ended the night with a family dinner at the Mall of America.  What a fun day!
