This little goofball is SUCH a spark plug of personality! I remarked to my mom the other day, that my new word for this little peanut is stubborn! One of my new prayers for Larkyn is that God would use her amazing resolve for his glory, just as Daniel in the Bible (whom I was studying last week) resolved not to defile himself (Daniel 1:8) and had a predetermined, set mind, that could not and would not be changed :). While Larkyn has been sturdy enough on her feet for a while to walk, she didn't take her first steps until last month. However that didn't last long ;). 99/100 times that I tried to encourage her to walk by herself by gently letting go of her hand while we were walking together, she would refuse to keep going - many times ending in tantrums because she wanted me to hold her hand and walk her! Last night, Uncle Jordan and Auntie Madison were babysitting and they encouraged her to take a few more steps (I think she was more willing without me around, silly girl!) - see this adorable video Jordan took here. This morning, we had a few successful walks, but more tantrums refusing to walk. Tonight, while the older two kids finished up dinner, for some reason, Larkyn agreed to walk (I have no idea why!). And she took off! I couldn't believe it! It was so funny because she kept giggling as she walked, as if she herself could not believe she was actually walking either! She would walk next to things like coffee tables, etc and refuse to touch them for balance checks as she walked past as if she didn't think she could get started again if she touched something. She still doesn't know she can "start" walking on her own...she will call out to me "Walk!" asking me to "start her" off in the right direction, and then she takes it from there. Whatever tomorrow brings, this is a huge step for this little one. Anyway, here is a collection of clips of her walking tonight. I honestly can't believe how many steps she took! Go Larkyn!!!

Aw love that little stubborn sweetie. =)
Loo-Loo just needed to pick her moment. :) Goodness, that excited giggle when she realized what she was doing is the cutest!
