AUNTIE KRISTIN IS ENGAGED!!!!

GUESS WHAT?!?  My little sister got engaged on Friday!  WAHOOOOOO!  We LOVE her fiance Eric Bjorklund!!

Last Friday, August 10th, we drove to my parents' cabin in Shell Lake, WI.  This was our planned "Kirkwood" weekend at the cabin, and Kristin and Eric were on their way up as well.  Unknown to Kristin, however, Eric's family was also on their way up to the cabin to help celebrate after Eric popped the question and Kristin said YES!

 Todd (Eric's dad) is an awesome skier and boat driver.  It was his idea to get Kristin, Eric, Paul, and I up on skis at the same time!

Everyone else headed back home on Sunday, but Paul and the kids and I stayed at the cabin this week for our family vacation.  We have been having a blast!  More pictures to come soon.

Sydney turns 2!!!

Summer's friend Sydney turned 2 last Friday, the 10th, and Summer and Colton loved celebrating with Sydney at her puppet party!  Apple Valley has a traveling puppet wagon that puts on shows at different parks, so Sydney had her party at one of these parks.   The show also included interactive games for the kids and a craft.  After the show, the kids got to play at the park, and then they had lunch and cupcakes.  Here are a few pictures...

Colton is 4 months old!

We have had quite a crazy (but fun!) week, so I am a week late in this post....but better late than never!

Colton was 4 months old last Friday, and is getting more fun by the day.  He is SO smiley, and almost always smiles every time someone smiles at him.  He laughs quite a bit too.  He loves to stand, loves being outside, loves bath time, and still enjoys tummy time.  He can still have a fussy period in the evening, but for the most part is a pretty happy baby as long as he is rested and fed :-).  His favorite song is "The Colton Song" and when he is fussy, this can often calm him down.

 He still goes to bed around 8:15pm and he can now make it through the night without a feeding.  He will usually wake and cry for 2-20 minutes 1-3 times per night, however now that he has made it to 5am several times to eat, I usually make him wait until then to eat.  He has even made it to 6am or 7am to eat a few times!

During the day, he eats every 3-4 hours, and usually takes 3 naps a day.  One short nap around 10am, one long nap around 1pm, and one short nap around 6pm.
