Colton has been praying about and thinking about getting baptized since last spring. A few weeks ago he said he really wanted to get baptized, and he didn't want to wait until the next official one. He talked to our Pastor, and then scheduled one for right after service at a nearby lake. I am so so so grateful for all the ways God is working in Colton's life!!!! I will first include an excerpt from an email our Pastor sent after meeting with Colton regarding baptism, because I want to remember it, and then I will include videos and pictures from the actual day.
"Hello Paul and Kelly,
It was my pleasure to sit with Colton for a bit on Sunday morning and talk about his faith and his desire to be baptized. I wanted to give you a bit of feedback from that conversation.
First of all, your influence in his life is very positive and very significant. His words and perspective make it crystal clear that you have taught him well and shown him a life path that is God-focused and filled with the hope that Jesus offers. He understands who Jesus is, who he is in relation to Jesus, who the Church is and what that means to him. He gets the significance of baptism. He knows what it means to follow Jesus. It was a pleasure to talk with him.
While all that is very good, there was one thing that stood out to me beyond that. It was Colton's joy. He didn't nervously deliver his answers while sitting in the principal's office (which many kids compare my office to ). His eyes lit up when he talked about Jesus. He's genuinely happy to be a part of God's Church. He's celebrating his baptism already. That was so fun to see!
God has His hands on Colton."
All Glory Be to God!!!!
