While the parents are away...the grandparents and kids play!

When we texted the view [of Cancun] from our airplane...this was the picture returned to us as the view from the [lego] airplane back home :)!  Despite the cold and snowy weather back in Minnesota, the kids had a fantastic time with Grandma and Grandpa while Paul and I took our vacation in Cancun!  Here are a few pictures!

Grandma and Grandpa always bring a bunch of games from their house when they come visit!  Battleship is a favorite among the older two.

Larkyn has several favorites!

While we were gone, Southview had its Culvers night!  

The kids got to see many of their favorite faculty working!

We love Ms. Heilman and Ms. Johnson!

The older two had school three of the five days we were gone, and Larkyn got to have special time with her cousin Teddy!

I love that he climbed onto her lap!!!

Grandma and Grandpa surprised the kids with a one night stay at a local hotel where they could do LOTS of swimming!

They swam on Friday afternoon as soon as they arrived!

And were joined by Teddy for one final swim on Saturday morning before checkout!

Pizza at the hotel was fun!

The kids made LOTS of great memories and said they had so much fun they barely missed us!  As is usual with both sets of our grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa went above and beyond keeping our kids safe and fed....they gave them a fantastic weekend filled with love, fun, and attention!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa K for all you did to allow us to take a worry-free getaway and give the kids such fun memories!  We love you!
