Summer helped me organize at my school, since her school start date was later than the younger two.

Fall Sports

Summer

Summer had been loving cross country and athletic band!  She continued to decrease her time for her 5K almost every race, and ended the season with her PR of 22:08.

Colton
Colton was thrilled to make the soccer team he hoped to make this fall, and continues to LOVE playing soccer.  He misses playing on the days he has off and practices on his own even on days without practice.   His team made Final 4 and ended up placing second, which was a fun way to end the fall season.

Larkyn
Larkyn's gymnastics season came to a sudden halt when she broke her arm doing a round-off- back-handspring the week before her first meet.  She must have landed with her arm slightly twisted, because she snapped both her radius and ulna upon impact, and after an ambulance ride to the ER, spent the better part of the fall in a cast.  She missed competing in all of her meets, and has spent a lot of time learning how to write with her non-dominant hand, listening to audio books, and learning to live life a little less active than she used to.  She has been a trouper and THANK YOU to all the people who have stopped by, sent care packages, made cookies for her, and gave her "favorite things", showering her with love!

Other Happenings

Larkyn wrote and directed a movie for a Bible project for school. It turned out cute!  Here is the link:

Zoo Day!

The animals were all out this day!

Larkyn couldn't play guitar or do gymnastics with her broken arm, so she bought herself some long glue on nails :-)

Tiger is a super fan XC and soccer!

Fall Retreat

This year, our family started connecting with Berean, a church only a few minutes from our home.  Our kids have been so brave to jump into a new youth group and all four of us attended the fall retreat (me as an 8th grade girls leader).  I don't have a picture of Colton but he had a lot of fun, hung out a lot with a really good friend, and played a lot of Nukem, outdoor laser tag and more!

Larkyn got a special role at black light dodgeball due to her cast- she got to be above everyone in the gym and throw dodgeballs down at people (and her cast glowed under the black light!)! She and a friend on crutches bonded through their injuries, and she even went ziplining!

Summer met and connected with a lot of really sweet girls and this group was inseparable throughout the weekend.

I am very grateful for all of the friends and family that surrounded us, supported us, and loved us through all of our high's and lows this fall.  And, I thank the Lord for His goodness to us and our family.  All Praise and Honor and Glory to Him.
