Colton's birthday celebration was a little different this year, due to the COVID-19 quarantine, but we tried to make it as special as possible! His day started with a fun birthday "social distance" visit from Grandma and Grandpa K, who made a giant birthday sign to put in the yard! They waved at Colton from the yard and he waved back from his window!
Next up was breakfast in bed!
Then, Colton had "school at home" with distance learning, but we took some breaks to play family soccer and checkers :).
Because we couldn't do a birthday party for Colton, I arranged a birthday car parade!!! Local family, school friends, church friends, Colton's 3 past teachers (kindergarten, first grade, and second grade), including 40ish cars met in the school parking lot, decorated their cars with streamers, balloons, and signs, and followed Paul's car to parade past our house with music, horns, and cheers to wish Colton a happy birthday! It was so fantastic!
Here is a video!
Then, it was present time!

Colton got a telescope, several books, |
a Ripstick, |
Beyblades from Larkyn |
and handpicked LEGO pieces from Summer |
Colton got to have "virtual" dinner with Grandma and Grandpa T |
Daddy made Colton's meal of choice, Cheeseburgers and French Fries |
His birthday dessert of choice was root beer floats, so we stuck his candles in berries! |
After dinner, Colton tried his new ripstick and took a peek at the stars! He has had a lot of fun during family bonfires seeing close-ups of the moon and Venus! |
At a later date, Grandma and Grandpa T came for a visit, got a DQ cake, and celebrated both Paul and Colton! |
HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY, Colton! We love you and are so proud of you!!!!!
